Finally, a sign that baseball is coming back to life! And to celebrate, the Pale Hose 9 is back and moving with full speed ahead! All aboard Ozzie’s Crazy-Train.
Aside from that good news, not even coverage of SoxFest is news-worthy.
In case you missed it, everyone is excited about Josh Fields, Dayan Viciedo hit some balls in batting practice, new numbers have been handed out, Dewayne Wise thinks he probably won’t win a starting position, and we signed Ben Boussard. ALL THAT, and they had time to write about 12 articles on the new Spring Training facility.
But, things aren’t as boring as they seem. Pitchers and catchers reporting means more than the return of Buehrle-Floyd-Danks. It is the beginning of an intriguing competition between Colon (I know he’s technically supposed to be the 4th starter, but I’m not 100% sold on the idea yet), Marquez, Richard (Although, I still think he’s going to ultimately be in the ‘pen), and, I suppose, Broadway, and Poreda for spots in the end of the rotation.
